151st Victoria Highland Games

The Victoria Highland Games Association is pleased to announce our Professional lineup for the Victoria International Heavy Events Challenge happening on May 17^th and 18^th.

As usual the Pro’s will be taking the field in the afternoon both days.  We will also be putting on our Elite Women’s division again this year with the same prize structure as last year, $2500 broken down and awarded  for overall placing (1st=1000, 2nd=700, 3rd=400, 4th=200, 5th=100, 6th=100).  Same as last year we will take the top six Women athletes that apply with one spot restricted for a top ranked Canadian female.  We will be deciding on the final Women’s lineup on Mar 21, 2014, any Women interested should email myself at showhavich@gmail.com. 

 

Amateurs and Masters will be throwing in the mornings as usual but we have mixed up the schedule a bit.  We will be adding two classes to our lineup this year Men’s Master 50+ and Men’s Lightweights (classes will need a minimum of 4 competitors to qualify for trophies).  All Masters and Novice will throw Saturday morning and All Amateurs and Lightweights will throw Sunday Morning.  Anyone who is not on my email list from last year and would like to come this year please email me at showhavich@gmail.com for an entry form. 

I have started getting a few registrations in the mail and I will put together an athlete list as soon as I get a few more.  I am still looking for more Women for our Elite Women's division, there is still a few spots available so anyone interested shoot me an email to showhavich@gmail.com (prize money is listed above).
