Hello all! Just a quick note to say that we are trying to get the Cedar Rapids CelticFest HG back up and running. We have rescheduled to June 29 (yes, a Sunday). We have also lowered the entry fee to $10 if sent in & paid by May 31st. I will link the website & hope to see many of you there.

Matt Faltis will make this one heck of an event. He has the backing of the sponsoring society to make this a great athletic event. I hope the throwers nearby will show support and help bring back Cedar Rapids games.
Any organization named H.A.G.G.I.S (Hawkeye Area Grand Gaelic Isles Society) is worthy of support. |

Practice day scheduled: We will have a Newbie/Practice Day in CR on May 31st. Site will be lower Kingston Stadium near the Ice Arena. Start time 10 am. If you are available to help some new throwers or just want to get a few throws in feel free to stop by. This will be 8 events, adding heavy hammer. We are hoping to get cages, hammers, etc so we can do all 9 events next year. Also remember you can save $5 off your entry fee if you pay & register by May 31. The link should be found in the original post.
