October 18 AND 19 Sat and Sunday at Fiesta Gardens - same place austincelticfestival.com for a map.
All classes both days - oldfarts, young studs , skinny guys and beautiful ladies.
We get there around 8am - we start at 9am or whenever I get all set up. Register by 8.30am plz.
We walk in before the festival starts - your family and all your junk can/should come in with you early for free.
br , os , both weights , lots of cabers and wob. Optional strongman stuff after.
Field records from memory - br a vincent 46 , os matt V 55+ , 56 46 spencer, 28 91.6 matt v , wob 56 a vincent 18'.
Not bad for a leetle beety games.
Come enjoy a great weather games and Austin - the festival is worth the walk around too.

I would like to get an idea of who is coming which days please!
Thx Mike

I should be out on Saturday, expect to see a bit of California Sunshine in the form of Stephanie Robbins, may move some of the ladies field marks.
Highland Games - The drama is so high, because the stakes are so low.

I will come on Saturday. My sponsor, Viagra, said most ED sufferers attend Saturday events. Are the kids games on Sunday? I'm trying to throw more to the right. I almost hit a goose last year.

What time Mike? also, I pulled my left bicep at Sherwood. It bruised pretty good. Now it doesn't hurt (and I don't really need it for Austin Games) but it seems to be bulging in the middle of the bicep to the inside. It looks different then it did before. It bruised all the way to the elbow and upper forearm. Do you think If I come on Saturday you can see if I screwed it up? I figure you have seen every kind of injury there is.

Sounds like a bicep tendon rupture...put your fingers in the crook of your elbow( front) tense bicep. Can you feel the tendon?like a cord..minimum you tore some muscle but saying it looks different sounds like a tendon...but then again I'm not a doctor but did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once

Dr. Baab gave me a check-up and said it looks better than the other bicep. The deformity adds a nice peak. Good enough for me. Im lifting with it. Its my left bicep so this Saturday I only need to worry about the caber since we don't throw hammers or sheaf in austin. Thanks for the note. I always trust the opinion of a man who stays at the Holiday Inn.

My first games and I had a blast! I recognize a few names on here and just wanted to say thanks for all the help and tutoring. I already signed up for Salado and I'm going to practice all the advice I was given. I'm sure I'll see a few of you there.

Thank you Mike and also your lovely wife for putting on my favorite games. Always something exciting happens. This year a 91+ foot LWD throw. But, If I almost flip the final caber, they are too small. Austin needs to be know as the Games of the Big Cabers.
