Scotland Highland Games Festival – Scotland, Connecticut

26th Annual Highland Games

The events will starting before 9:30. Athletes wanting to throw
be on the field before 8:30 for sign in's and warm up.
Rain or shine

Events:
Braemar stone
Open stone
Heavy weight for Distance
Light weight for Distance
Caber
Sheaf
Weight over Bar

Interested athletes, please let me know if you're coming if you haven't already.
I will need some help with women's weights, stones, and sheaf.
So if you have some preferred equipment, bring it.
Also be sure to bring your throwing gear (aka your kilt).

At this time all competitors will have to pay the entry fee to compete.

So pumped...get to see Hapy once again in 2014.. Terri has some goals(17-6+) in masters womens wob, me maybe I'll throw vs ya but get to hang with one of the best in NE...+Dana and eric the rock of gibraltor of NE will be there. Huge + maybe we can get the new legend of NE Mr Duncan McCallum to attend?

Ken,will bring all womens open weights( except sheaf) in case you want to use them,will also throw in the womens masters wfd and wob in case you have any distinguished women wishing to throw them

No huge tosses, but a great day of throwing.  Weather was sunny and warm, had huge crowd following the athletics for most of the day.  Great seeing my HG family out and met a bunch of new friends in the Masters class.

Thank you Ken, Jenna and Scott for a great season wrap up.  Till next year.

Also, thank you for the games, I learned a lot and I'll be back next year.

To those who PM'd about pictures, Lola is pretty backlogged (shes done a lot of weddings recently) so sit tight, it might be a little while.
