Did the PennsWall Games yesterday. Every part of my body hurts :).

Finished dead last in the masters but had a fantastic time. which is why I do it. Great group of gamers.

The sleeves really helped for my knees, sore but no swelling. I need to get sleeves for my elbows to support the one I had surgery on for the WFD.

The Braemar was 18-7, a PR for me. Had PR in the light hammer also.

We all did the same caber for amateur and master (no pros in these games), and I was able to get it up and throw it for a score (low)twice. Us old guys were going "oh crud, how are we going to throw that thing". I was surprised that I could even get the beast up to throw it and get a score. Another PR then.

Just did the Penns-Wall Games yesterday. Great group of guys. Hotter than Hades with 100% humidity.

Braemar 18-2
Stone 25-10
Hwfd 17-10
Lwfd 30-4
Sword throw 68-10
Caber75deg
Wob 11
Sheaf 14.

Link to my sword throw pic:

We didn't do hammer because of time limitation and extreme heat. Got a practice throw in for light hammer about 50 ft.

Had a great time. The working out paid off and the cardiovascular helped me last the brutal day. Sore all over. But it's a good sore.

All personal bests except for sheaf. Not bad for an old man.

I haven't logged for a while.

Still working out religiously.

Just registered for the Covenanter Highland Games in PA scheduled for September.

On a side note, the wife and I got the kayak out for the first time this year. We missed kayaking last year because I was laid up with an Achilles rupture and couldn't walk.

I went to put on my life jacket. It fastened around my waist, but would not fasten around my chest. It turns out I've put 2-3 inches on my chest the last two years.
