Roundhill hg in Ct which bills itself as 3 rd oldest in the US cancelled for 2015. It is usually the Saturday closest to July 4th,so checked the calendar last nite to see if it was held or being held today( it's the closest games to my house/35 minutes/so was going to check it out). Usually canceling is the death sentence and festivals don't come back( ie;Western Mass HG, Goshen HG) here's hoping it bucks the system..while the game was hindered by an archaic Ad who didn't let women compete it was on the turnaround behind recent ADs Kate Mason( grammar),Sam Grammar, and Rob Hamelin..was always a good spot to see NE top talent(Bogue,Borque,Barrons,Benderoth,Howe,Dillon,Hamelin,Kate Mason,Terri James,Dana Florence and had visiting athletes like Doug Macdonald of KC,Shane Suthetland,Dave mcClelland) had a lot of fun times and memories hope it comes back

Very sorry to read this!  The 3rd oldest in the US is NOT supposed to fade away!

Hopefully, someone will figure out what went wrong and bring these Games back.

I think it was a scheduling conflict.

Perhaps it will return again next year.

Well then, this might just work out in the Games' favor.  Years ago, the city of Everett, WA gave away our spot of many years (we couldn't get no respect!)  We found a larger and better place (the Claw) that we could get a contract on, went to a two-day Games, and have since grown to be the largest Games west of the Mississippi and north of San Francisco!  We didn't even miss a year!!

Greetings form Kansas City!

Great memory going up over to Connecticut's Roundhill games circa 1999...
Back when the Barron Brothers and Roy Bogue were still AM's... Mighty Mark Howe was not in FLA yet, I believe, Gerard Benderoth was still larger than life, and Officer Dan kept it all glued together.

Good Luck and well wishes for Roundhill Games.
I hope it continues on and get's reestablished old or new site.
