Just a question about the qualifying distances. I turned 40 in Sept and won't throw in a masters competition until maybe mid summer. I wouldn't have an issue qualifying but won't have actually done so. Does this mean if I am to register I need to find a games and get the numbers in?

First I am 120% for the qualifying standards, but looking at the chart an over 50 under 200 pound guy has to throw further to qualify than a
55-59 over 200 pound guy. |

If someone is just barely making the qualifying standards maybe they should re think competing at a championships.

Because if I just barely made the standard for the olympics, I should just stay home.

I don't think the Olympics work that way.

Not all NFL teams that made the playoffs have a chance to win the Superbowl but that doesn't mean they're not going to play in the playoffs.

Joel, if you threw the Braemar, Open Stone, Lightweight, and hammers in 2015, those marks should be acceptable.
You have to be 40 at the time of MWC, not when the marks were set, I believe...

Thanks. I thought one would have to throw the marks when they were already 40.

why are you worrying???? you will be 65+ at games time-you could be the worlds most pathetic thrower and still get into the MWC, (no qualifying standards for 65+)
