I curious about this "Blake McDill from Tigard, OR"
I'm sorta surprised that there is an Elite Athlete here in the NW I've not heard off.  Confused

Quick research shows he's a high school senior who's thrown a whopping 35ft with the high school shot put....so yea, I'd guess it's not serious.

Not sure why l didn't do that research, l've got all of this extra time on my hands!

l would have thought that you knew that a great shot put does not an Elite athlete make!!  He would have been better off applying for the Men's A classs.

While true^^.... there isn't a Pro out there who can't throw a 12lb shot put significantly further than 35 feet.  It's just one metric, but it's a telling one.

Still, l'd have liked to have seen him enter Men's A class first.  He might have really shone!

The Claw is looking for a few good people!

Did you think that the North American Championship runs itself??  Volunteers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday.  Markers, measurers, shaggers, you name it.

Volunteers receive free admission to the Games, lunch both days, a free t-shirt, and a ringside seat to great competition between some of the best Scottish Athletics competitors in the world!

Feel Free to contact me via personal message on NASGA
                                       or:  (206) 938-3934
                                       or: 16lb-hammer(at)sshga.org

Cut-off time has come and gone!
"What you see is what you get!!"

Pre-Elite athletes should have all the info that they need.  lt was in the rule packet that everyone said that they had downloaded.  Gate passes will be emailed to you soon.

Elite athletes should book their flights ("at the most economical rate") and must send me a copy of their itinerary (showing cost and seating class) so l can have a check waiting for them.
Rooms have been booked for them at the GUEST HOUSE (formerly the Park Center) at
1000 Griffin, Enumclaw. (360) 825-4490.
Athletes laying over until Monday will have a Sunday night room booked for them near Sea-Tac airport.  Gate passes will be emailed in a few days.

The best of luck to all of the qualifying applicants, Elite and Pre-Elite!!
                                  Questions???  Contact me!

Wally,
I'll put up the request for volunteers on facebook's WOSTA page if that's okay with you. Too many of the people who would be available to volunteer don't use NASGA. They're afeared of the trolls!! :-)

NOTICE!  Nick Kahanic has dropped out with an injury and Nathan Burchett can't get time off from work.  l offered those spots to Nathan Parker and Jeff Kaste.  lt turns out that Jeff Kaste, when learning that he missed the cut, made other plans.  l'm now offering that spot to Jake Sullivan.

EDIT**  Both Nathan Parker and Jake Sullivan have passed on their invites.  l've moved down the list to Damien Fisher and Edward Brown.
