Back Squats (full depth, in kg) - 20x8, 50x5, 80x3, 110x3, 140x3, 160x3, 180x3, 190x3, 200x1 (rather easily), 210x1 (only went down to parallel or just below but was fast and smooth)

I was thinking of making 190x3 my top set, but decided I might as well do one at 200kg to keep up appearances and when it was quite easy (I considered doing 2 reps) I decided to go to 210kg. Not the typical or recommended progression! And not bad for the day after heavy Front Squats for an older guy either.

Taking a day off from squatting after two heavy days in a row. ‪#‎squatober‬ will resume tomorrow. Did some Hang Power Cleans today to try to "reactivate" my tired legs and back. My top set at 135kg/297lbs. was far from perfect, but a reasonably high catch for this weight at 6'3" tall and after so much squatting. Video on Facebook and IG.

200kg was pedestrian, but enough for today. Should have done 6 reps at 185kg but wimped out. Totally cabable of that. I will do 190k x 5 soon, with a medium-term goal of 200k x 5.

Back Squats (full depth, in kg) - 20x8, 50x5, 80x3, 110x3, 140x2, 160x2, 180x1, 200x1, 190x4, 180x5 (was rushed and took insufficinet rest after previous set)

As I said above, I will do 190k x 5 very soon, with a medium-term goal of 200k x 5 and also 220k x3.

Was supposed to do Front Squats today, but zoned out and sstarted doing back squats for first several sets and decided just to stick with those.
