This is going to be my log of ACL recovery hopefully getting back to
throwing in a year.

25 March 2011
Allograft reconstruction of left ACL and repair of cartilage and meniscus tear.
3 bone chips where removed, one the size of a thumb.
This is my second ACL reconstruction on the same knee, first was done 13
years ago with a hamstring graft. Apparently it failed several years ago
because they found significant bone growth where My ACL should have
been. I can't pinpoint when since my knee has been stable, probably due to
my leg strength.

4 sessions of 2 hours each in PCM machine 0-70 deg ROM.

Can put full body weight on leg without to much pain. I should be able to
get off the crutches in the next day or so. Going a little stir crazy and
looking forward to starting rehab and lifting again.

3 April 2010
good post op. Orth seems to think I should a have a normal recovery. I can't
start PT yet since there is still alot of swelling. Range of motion is about 110
with the CPM machine. It's definitely getting easier to move around. I going
to start going pushups pull-ups and any thing else I can think of to start
getting my body working again. I forgot how stir crazy I went during the last
ACL rehab.
