As I've said elsewhere, I'm really starting from scratch. The numbers I'm putting up lifting are probably what some of you guys warm up with. And my throwing numbers are going to be almost comical while I learn technique. But here we go.
These are what I'm starting with.
Squat max 145
Bench max 140
Barbell row 130
Overhead press 70
Deadlift  190
Light Hammer throw 50 feet (just sad)

Now, all that said, I've started a lifting routine this week.

Monday
Squats, bench press, barbell row 5 sets of 5 at 80% max.
1 mile run. Practice throwing hammer, try to develope technique.
Wednesday
Squats, overhead lift, dead lift, 5 sets of 5 at 80% max
Friday
Squats, bench press, barbell row 5 sets of 5 at 80% max. 1 mile run.
Practice shot put with 10 pound stone.

It ain't much, but it's a start.

So, despite a lingering soreness in my left tricep, I went and lifted anyway

Squats, five sets of five at 120 pounds
Overhead press, five sets of five at 70 pounds
Dead lift, one set of five at 200 pounds
Compound lifts, five sets of five 30 pounds per hand
Bicep curls, six sets of ten at 30 pounds per hand

Gonna be a busy night, don't know of I'll get to throw.

Increased my creatine intake and protien intake on lift days.

Lifting from Wednesday..

Squats, 5x5 at 125lbs
Bench press 5x5 at 120lbs
Barbell row 5x5 at 100lbs.

Just for giggles and grins I walked over to the resistance machines. I started on them about two months ago. As a disclaimer, I strongly doubt the numbers on these correlate to pounds lifted.

Bicep curl machine 5x5 at 100 whatevers
Fly machine 5x5 at 140 whatevers

Ten pound open throw x20.

Ok, haven't posted in a couple days but it isn't from lack of working out.

Last Friday...

Squats 5x5 at 130 lbs
Overhead press 3x5 then 3 then 1 at 70 lbs. Just couldn't get the weight up. Was very disappointed.
Deadlift 5 at 210 lbs

Monday's lifting

Squats 5x5 at 135 lbs
Bench Press 5x5 at 125 lbs
Barbell Row 5x5 at 110 lbs

Weighed in at 219 pounds. I'm lifting heavy, upped my protein and lost weight.

And Wednesday's lifting

Squats 5x5 at 140 lbs
Overhead Press 5x5 at 70 lbs
Technique was clean, got the weight up.
Deadlift 5 at 220 lbs... Officially lifting more than my body weight.

Haven't been able to get any throwing in, but I'm considering throwing on off days.

So, here's Friday's lifting...

Squats 5x5 at 145 pounds
Bench Press 5x5 at 130 pounds
Barbell Row 5x5 at 115 pounds

I've decided that days I'm not lifting to throw.

Got 40 throws in with a 10 pound sledgehammer, averaging between 57-60 feet.

With a 12 pound stone, 40 throws averaging 20-23 feet. I have no technique, so I'm trying to figure it out.

Keep at it.  We all had to start somewhere.  The key to improving is consistently making it to the training sessions.  The numbers, both weights and distance, will continue to creep up.

So here's lifting from Monday...
Squats 5x5 at 150 lbs. I was having some issues keeping my pelvis straight, but I think I have it sorted out.
Overhead press 5x5 at 75. Kept these clean
Deadlift 5 at 230 lbs. Thats about 15 pounds over my current body weight.

Hammer throws today were averaging 60-63 feet with my light hammer.

I think I'm finally getting a glide figured out. All my previous stone throws we're from a standing position. My glide looks like hell, but I've seen a big improvement in numbers.
