Hi,

My name is Claire and I'm working on the second series of National Geographic Channel’s show – Science of Stupid (https://natgeotv.com/uk/science-of-stupid) which celebrates web clips and analyses them with some light-hearted science.

We are interested in licencing clips of caber tossing both perfect tosses and 'failed' attempts

Would you consider licensing us the clip for use in our show, if indeed, you are the original copyright holder. If you are not, perhaps you would be as kind as to direct us to whom you sourced it from?

All of my contact details are below if you require any further information at all or have a clip you are willing to licence to us please send me an email.

I hope yo hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Claire

Caber drops aren't all that impressive, and caber "fails" often result in an injury.

I'll pass; sincerely hope the rest of the community does as well.

Any chance we can just delete this troll thread?

I received an email and pointed the women here.  Whether you help or not is a personal choice but this is not a troll tread.  So rip on me if you like.

It is not like the "sport" has not been lampooned on other shows

I agree that they are not necessarily funny due to the serious nature of what can happen.

If one thing that epic failure videos show is the danger ... to many times judges start the caber to close to the crowd.  Or let people stand on the release side or ....
There is a whole host of dumb arse or plan old ignorant things that are done that make this sport more dangerous than it should to the throwers and the audience.
