We are thinking about putting together a workshop at Fefor in Norway (where the Amateur World Championships were held this year).

Francis Brebner has already said yes to running the workshop.

Anyone interested? Who would you guys like to see speaking? Who would you like to see instructing?

Would this be an event where we could pay one fee and get hotel and ground transportation included? or would it be where we had to get a car and hotel on our own? I might be in either way

Alright! Sorry for the delay.

The workshop will be from the 15th of October until the 21st. It will take place at Fefor Highland Hotel in Vinstra Norway. The cost is 750 NOK (about 100$) a day, which covers both the workshop and room and board at the hotel.
The hotel is offering a package deal for the workshop, which includes room and board at Fefor Highland Hotel.

Francis will be teaching Caber, and putting a lot of emphasis on the different throws. Plus, he will be dicussing weight/strength training specifically geared towards Highland Games Athletes.

Check out the hotels website.

I spent a bit of time above the arctic circle in Norway in the winter. Brrrhhh.

For those of you who are not familiar, your throws will go farther if you do it facing north because of the curvature of the earth at the upper latitudes. :)

It's true. We also use the 16# hammers to fend off Polar Bears. Smile

I hit one of Santa's Reindeer with one by accident and am now on the permanent naughty list.
