Hey-

Just to be clear, we always let Returning Champions jump the line and get in at MWC.

Its one of the perks of being The Champion.

Hey-

Also, while we're at it ... this competition will be Traditional Style and that means no spinning in WOB or Sheaf.

Carry on,

-K

So,

After ranking all athletes based on their recent throwing distances in the Stones, Weights & Hammers (as submitted in the application) and comparing those submitted numbers with the posted Qualifying Criteria established last year, we created a Start List with the best qualified & top-ranked athletes and a Standby List with the qualified, semi-qualified or nearly-qualified athletes.

Nothing personal, but the number of well qualified athletes is already over 120 and we just have to manage the numbers of interested athletes somehow and establish some limits. We often see openings in the Start List and are able to move athletes over from the Standby List, but no guarantees.

Hey-

If anyone has to drop out of the MWC 2016 due to illness, injury, employment, deployment, famine or flooding, please let me know as soon as possible since we have a Standby List and it would be unsportsmanlike to wait and unnecessarily hold a spot that you can't use.

Teresa-

We are already past our cutoff limit and we're only allowing Returning Champions to get in late.

But we're moving some people from the Standby List onto the Start List when an opening occurs, so I could put you on the Standby List if you'd like to take a chance. You would have to hit all the qualifiers first and then have the good fortune to be first in line when a spot opened up in your group. No guarantees.
