Wikipedia says that Brian passed yesterday but I can't find an obit anywhere else. Anyone know if it's true?
Cheers,

Carlos

Unfortunately, it is true. No details (that I know of) yet on his death, but it is all over Facebook and other Sports media outlets.

Very sad. He had a personality that was as big as his throws. He will be missed.
Cheers,

Carlos

When I was in high school I competed on weekends at the University of
Chicago open meets. I remember watching him throw 63-64 feet, glide
in those days, then high jump 6+ feet! Great inspiration, then and now!\

Google has many mainstream news reports of his death: Chicago Sun Times, LA Times, and others.
