Is there any difference in the weights used for Masters who are over 70, or do they use the same weights as the 40-60 yr old Masters?

Brand new for this year:  men over age 60 will use lighter weights than the 40-59 men.  Same with women.

Also, as of 23 June, women's stones will be 8/12 lb vs the previous 9/13 (all age groups).

Watched the video, just wanted to add, to expand the sport
these changes are needed. Most seniors, 60,70,80+ throw
for personal accomplishments. I've been intimated by 40 masters
who acted like you shouldn't be competing. Now, they throw 22#ht
I throw 16#, the field has been leveled.

So far this season for me, most ADs have been willing to let the over 60 people throw the new lighter weights if you bring them.  It's up to the AD.

Some games back east had originally pioneered the idea of the lighter weights for M 60+ before the new MWC director adopted them for both men and women 60+

In a couple games so far, I was scored in a handicap open fashion (placed by distance/height without regard for the weight of the implement used).  In others, I was scored in a class by myself (W 60+).  Certainly isn't my fault that no others showed up in my class.
