   Hi my name is Steve.  I found out about Highland Games from Dan John's GetUp newsletter.  I attended my first HG last month up in Minnesota.  I had a blast and am considering competing in a games, possibly Quad Cities in August.  Are there any throwers around Northwest Iowa?  I have family in the Des Moines and Twin Cities areas so i find myself there frequently.
I am a 29yr old former D-III college basketball player.  And judging by the size of the competitors at the MN games quite light in the weight department  I don't have any experience throwing weights around.  I would appreciate any advice...thanks!
