Hi Adrian,

We have a pretty good group here in New England.  There are probably over a dozen people including me that are within an hour of you.  I will let others jump in if they want to.  For the most part, we are still in "off season lifting mode", but many of us are starting to add in some light throwing if we have gym space or a patch of ground without snow.  Do you have any throwing experience?  How about strength levels?  Check out the throwing and training sections of the forum and look back beyond default view to get more info.  Also check out training and throwing footage on Youtube.

Good luck and welcome to the family.

Hi Al,

Thank you for getting back to me. I threw the shot in high school that was a while ago (I'm 37). I squat 525, bench 375. I've been checking out the training footage on YouTube and I have a few Ironmind Milo mags with instructions on the throws. I'm definitely interested if you can spare the time to help me out. Thanks again and i look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Adrian

Well I would say you have strength and I think the shot movement will come back to you.  Hopefully the snow will go soon and we can all start throwing off the grass again.  I am coaching Mites soccer on Saturday mornings but could probably show you some basics for an hour or so on some Sunday on York Beach.  I'm a master so I only have a 42 and not a 56 that you would throw.  Send me an email at adargie@yahoo.com and I will keep you in the loop as something gets organized.
