I'm a masters (52 y.o.) powerlifter and have been competing
PL for over 10 years, with a best total of just shy of
1600# at 220 class. I have been interested in learning and
competing in HG for some time but have yet to find someone
to coach me in the basics.

I have a good power base and dedicated training ethic. I
would appreciate hearing from anyone in my area of East
Texas who could get me going in the right direction.

Best
RWH

Thanks to both for the replies. Unfortunately my work
schedule and the damn price of gas these days makes long
distance training harder than it used to be.

@Verewulf: If I can come up with a couple of suitable
stones and cobble together some practice weights to get
going, maybe a trip over to Terrell on a Sat or Sun to get
some hands on coaching wouldn't be completely out of the
question. I'll keep you posted.

Good training to all,
