Are more people going back to the 3 time for Sheaf vs the 2 tine? What are the advantages of either?

IMHO Only advantage to a 2 tine is there is more hand room.  My experience: 20lbs and over is too much for a 2 tine. They flex too much under that kind of force.

That being said, for a 16lbs bag, I'd throw with my 2 tine everytime.

It's a regional thing. Around here, we throw the 16.

Oh, yeah, and we don't allow two-tine forks.

Not sure were Agm is from, but that is also a regional thing. I've noticed most games East of Indiana(I mainly compete is MASA games) don't allow 2 tines. Most of Indiana and West allows. To what point, I don't know, haven't traveled too far west yet.

I don't think it matters too much, I hardly ever throw in games with my fork, and have tied my PR with 4 different forks.  The only problem I have with 3 tines is it tears up my fingers between my ring and middle finger. Which is the main reason I cut mine off, for practice reasons.

Wally, back in the "day" the only sheaf was a 16....then
somebody had to go screwing with tradition and make a 20lb
sheaf rather than raise their standards....and there goes
the neighborhood!!! HAHA

I have....uhhh...4 sheaf forks (long story and I'd probably
still sound crazy) and I think it's whatever you get used
to. The two tines will flex sooner and the sheaf comes off
the fork different, but once you adjust you are all set!

Switching forks around is all wrong.  You have develope a relationship with your fork.  You show it love and it will reward you.  You go running around with other forks and there is going to be a problem.

Were you around "back in the day?"  l was!  The new "flick" method of tossing was sending the sheaf so high that either new uprights were in order or change the bag weight.  20# bags were being used elsewhere so we made the switch for everyone (including Masters!)  lt's just this year that we're bringing 16#ers back for them.  lf they start topping out our freshly extended uprights, we'll just have to put them back on the 20!!  lf the Elites start topping them, there's gonna' be a new bag in town (like 22#!)
