Welcome to the NASGA Message Board!

If this is your first time visiting, welcome to the NASGA Message Board!  Below is an explanation of the rules for this message board and some information about this site in general.

This is a web site created by me to benefit you and the Heavy Events community for free.  I created, maintain, and pay for this site with my own time and money.  This is not my job, this is a hobby done in my spare time.  I do this because I think people involved in the Heavy Events need a place to gather and share useful information without having to sift through a lot of junk in a lot of different places.

This site is essentially my property and I am the one ultimately responsible for its content, whether it is a particular NASGA web page, the NASGA database, or this NASGA message board.  The only difference being that with this board, you have the ability to provide your input.

I reserve the right to edit or remove content that I do not want to take responsibility for.

While this is still the “web site for the athletes, by the athletes” and I respect your opinions and take them into account, I reserve the right to make any final decisions on what to create and publish on this site.

There are conditions for using this site for free.  There is a set of rules you must abide by:

NASGA Message Board Rules

  1. Stick to the individual forum subject matter
  2. No http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libel - libelous statements
  3. No excessive profanity
  4. No excessive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_%28Internet%29 - flaming
  5. No http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baiting_%28Internet%29 - baiting or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll - trolling

If you choose not to follow the rules, then you will be banned either temporarily or permanently.  You may be warned or you may not, depending on the circumstances.  I reserve the right to change these rules without notice and make judgment calls on other subject matter not covered by the above rules.

By breaking the rules you are creating more work for me.  The more work it is to keep the discussions under control, the less time I have to make any improvements to it and the less desire I have to continue to support it.

There are some key points to keep in mind while using this board that may help make your experience here more understandable and enjoyable.

NASGA Message Board Reminders

  1. This site is private property where you are a guest using it for free.
  2. This is not a democracy or any other form of government. There is no “freedom of speech”.  You are a guest on someone else’s property.
  3. This is the internet.  There is no such thing as “anonymous.”
  4. This is the internet and not real life.  People act differently here than they do in person.
  5. Others that do not know you in person will make assumptions about you and judge you by what you write here.  This could affect your relations with those people if/when you deal with them in person.
  6. This is the internet.  It is impossible to tell to the true intent behind anything posted here by you or others. Before getting upset about something you read, consider there are probably other interpretations.  If need be, contact the person responsible and ask them what their intent was.  Use the emoticons to indicate your intent if it is not clear.
  7. Neither I nor the moderators read every single post.  If you are being bashed or flamed by another user, we may not know about it or think the other user is joking with you.  If we do not respond to the user harassing you, you need to let the admin know that this is a problem for you; otherwise we will assume it is not.
  8. This board is not a pot that needs stirred.

Let's keep this site sponsor and fan friendly. It is our duty to allow people of all ages and moral values to safely visit us here.

Thank you all for being a part of the best Heavy Events site there is, and thank you to those who support this site with their donations, which are greatly appreciated.
