Comments, criticisms, accolades and beer all appreciated.

BTW, I SUCK at Stones, but by doing these drills I'm steadily improving to almost mediocre level.

Comment: You (or Macellari) just covered the Polish Stand Drill/Progression which has has been around since I was 12, so it's been around for 38 years anyways. Throwers should research the throws manual by the great Jay Silvester ( 72' Silver Medal w/the plate) for detailed explanation of the stand progression and continued progression: Stop Drill, Half Stand, Long Short Step Back Drill and more.

Well, it was new to me!!

All I know is that I was a 26-27 foot Open Stone tosser for almost three seasons. That's right, those are "two's" in front of those numbers.   TWENTY-six and TWENTY-seven, not thirty-six etc.  That SUX.  S-U-X  Most of the guys I throw with are well into the 30's in the Open Stone.  I've been doing those drills for the past six-eight weeks and I've added three feet to my Open Stone distance, and I hope to break 30 feet at Pleasanton.

Hey Alan, I like the drills and hope to start incorporating them into our training.  One question for you though.  Did you end up breaking 30' at Pleasanton?

Thanks
Ray
