Hey all,

Noob here from the FL/GA border just breakin into the games!
Competed in the NE Fl games and already sent in my registration
to Tallahassee coming up. Also started putting together some
training stuff, got a heavy hammer I built out of some old plates
and pvc and am going to melt some old lead wheel weights and
chain into some weights for distance/over bar. Only thing I am
having a problem finding is a handle for those. I know I can order
a handle from some of the manufacturers of highlands
equipments, but really don't want to throw down $30+ for a handle
when I have less than $10 on the rest of the equipment. And
welded rings are near impossible to find here with a diameter
above 2". Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Gary

Check out this older post.  Also use the search feature above and search the body or subject on the word handles to find a slew of others.  I am on the coast and I was able to pick up a couple of handles (clam or shellfish rings) at my commercial fishing store.
