Got adjusted last night, Sunday was tough w the neck, really shocking me.  Then went and hit some squat.  That was good for the head.
135 x 5
195 x 5
235 x 5
275 x 3
295 x 5
335 x 5
375 x 5  Really felt good how I smoked this.  Deep and pretty easy really.  Much more in there.  Had a nice groove and just made me feel so good, natures valium.  Then did some hanging leg raises, 4 x 15.  Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts on the neck.  I just am so weary of another operation, and the one last time was scary on this in my neck, I was lucky and got away with one that time, the surgeons down at the U of Miami spine center saved me, and I don't want another shot at that.

Saturday I did not throw to rest the neck, not sure that helped any.  Went in and hit some incline,
135 x 5
165 x 5
195 x 3
210 x 5
240 x 5
270 x 4, missed the last rep.  So close w the weight I started back at.  Then did my tri set with curls, sides and tri, 20 reps each 3 rounds.  Chiro today and then squat.

Got an adjustment and then went to the gym and pulled.  Done w the 75% stuff and going back into the routine.  Deadlifted.  Got the shooting shock feeling as I came off the floor w the weight shooting down my left arm, but after that was fine each set.  ?
135 x 5
185 x 5
235 x 5
275 x 3
315 x 3
355 x 3
395 x 3

Then did 5 sets of 10 reps w bent over rows.  Felt decent and went home and iced up the neck.  Shrimp scampi w a loaf of garlic bread.

Appreciative of my friends that come by here and offer the support.

Got adjusted last night and it seemed to help it some.  When I had the bone tumor it did not help it and I was in constant pain.  This is a real hard electrical shock going out the trap and down into the hand.  But in the same place as the tumor got on, so it scares me.  I went right to the gym and did some shoulders, only did 75% as I am getting back in there and in the groove.  While pressing I could feel it on me w the neck.  Did not do snatches and went home and iced it.  Seems better today.  Thanks all for the prayers

Wow was yesterday hard, my legs and back were so sore from squatting I could not move.  Did a little stone, and the weights and some caber.  Was not productive training in my opinion.  Just stinky and hot.  But I did have some fun, so that is a plus.

Having a real problem w my neck w shooting pain down my trap and arm.  Got an adjustment Friday that seemed to help until I threw on it.  Have some fear there as I had a bone tumor about 20 years ago in my cervical spine, makes me fear it has come back.  Please no, just makes me fear another operation.

Back in the gym last night for some squat action, and I felt fabulous.  Felt real strong, even paused the last rep of the session deep in the hole.  Went 75% to get used to lifting again after a week off from the game lead in and then after effects.  I was sore by dinner time.  I mean it, seems I caught my rib in my belt and it is really squeeling at me.  I went to the chiro before the gym.  My guy went to school w Geno and is really good, Brent Tidwell.  He tuned me up pretty good, so I squatted.

It is early morning in Bama, wish I was in Blairsville, but did not have that in my tank after last week.  I need a SSAAA game, just to see the folks, miss them.  Going out in a few min to get on the field and work on some of the things that were glaring last week.  This is going to be fun.

Today is the 4 year anniversary of the dreaded day.  The guy was elbow deep in my chest by this time that day and it took about 22 hours to wake up all the way from that one.  God is great and I am still here and have had a lot of great days since then.  I guess it depends on what you wish to focus on, but I am and want to be a half full kind of person, so I am pushing forward and enjoying.  I threw the 28 six feet further than when I competed at the same game when coming out from that mess.  So I am improving and getting stronger still.  Was one hell of a hole to climb out of, but I am still standing.  Seems obvious to me the perfect celebration will be some good squatting.  The reality of what I can really do is so far past what they said back then, the doom and gloom talks the doctors would give me, was a simple mistake of not knowing your patient.  Had to fire two heart doctors with that lame attitude of woe to me, had the one guy tell me I would never win again?  Why would you even say that even if you believed it?  I wanted to shove the sword through his desk when I won, but I guess the medication has mellowed me some.  Lucky sob.  Thank you to my friends, I can remember your calls to me and you lifting me up and helping me through this tough time.  I am blessed with fire that burns in me to train and throw.  Injury does not cure an illness.

Did Glasgow this weekend, thank you KO.  Was fun to see a lot of guys I have not gotten to throw with in some time.  Best game since my operations.  Went 6 feet further than I did w the 28 at this same game when I first got back from the cuts, also had a nice day in about everything.  Did not even put on the hammer blades and felt good there.  I think there is more in the tank, and I will continue to improve.  Throwing better is funner.  Have to give praise to the minimalist for my performance, not only has he helped w the program but my throwing also, as he has watched me throw now for about 15 years.  Thank you.

I hit it last night, 75% again on incline and then the tri set action of 180 reps.  Felt fantastic, really good.

I threw a little on Saturday and felt fine.  Just did light weight and light hammer.  I pushed pretty hard and my back was fine.  So I went in and pulled some deads yesterday.  Went 75% as I am going to Glasgow this weekend to see KO.  Expect to see Geno hit a new WR in sheaf as he just moved into a new age group.

So I pulled deads and it felt fine on the back.  I was a little cautious at first, but found nothing and really pushed the speed.  Then did bent over rows working up to 225 for 10.  The back got stiff later in the day but is fine today.

Went in last night and worked delts.  Did my standing presses w the dumbells.  Only worked at 75% thinking I can still compete next weekend if the back comes around and it is.  I felt real good, did my hanging ab work also.  All good.  Going to try and move some today and see if it cooperates.

Stanley, thank you so much for the compliment on my writing, that means a ton to me.  I guess my writing comes across harder than I am in person?  I don't know, I am not looking to come across that way, but am direct I guess.

Geno, we had some funny things there this weekend.  The ride in the magic bus was cool, there were 5 of us guys in there and I was thinking every one of us was a world champion.  Was wondering at the time if any of you guys noticed that.  And I did almost smack you when you were amping up for that sheaf blast.

OK, last night is not optimum.  I went in to squat.  Did 135 for two sets warming up.  Felt light and easy.  Next set went up very little as I am only on 75% this week, can't kill it as I am going to compete again in 10 days now.  So on the third set w like 175 I feel a little something in the lower back as I rack it.  Nothing much, but I stretch it between loading more on and the one side feels a little tight.  As I sit to get ready it tightens more.  I go to do the 205, now this is just 205 and when I get under the bar the load on my back is killing me now.  It is a high lower back thing.  Weird.  So I try and do one rep and it just kills me horrible bad.  I rack it and walk over to the pull up bar to hang.  As I get to the bar I am getting light headed and reach up and grab the bar.  I realize this is real light headed and let go and try and get down.  I got most of the way and passed out and fell back on the platform with my head falling off onto the floor passed out.  It was just for a few seconds and I woke to a crowd of freaked out people looking at me on the floor.

I will be there Friday training.  I love being able to squat, having had the lower back operation, all the epidurals, the neck operation and then the big knee job, along w the heart problem it is hard.  But I love it so we move forward.  It is that simple if your looking for some deep meaning.

So I guess my health is not optimum for training and throwing.  But I actually got three shots at a wr this weekend.  I got to taste that again, so I am pretty decent.  I did 9 events easily, and could have done more.  So no worries, the medication causes these light headed gigs, they happen much more often, but most times I can hide them from everyone as I just look like I am stopping to think about something or pretend I am looking at something and really I am just trying not to pass out.  Playing through is what I am doing, but you better relish what you have.  I do.

Like Jake said, I expected someone more gruff. It was great to meet you Myles, and I have always wanted to tell you that I really appreciated what you wrote about "What do you leave behind?".

I am a bit of an introvert (and a pessimist to boot), and I have trouble in social situations. Reading what you wrote makes me try harder to be nice to people. It is still difficult for me, but I am getting better. Kind of similar to throwing.

I am tepid water Jake.  Your feeling poor about something that is a nothing.  We are great.  Dickens you know I love you and was fabulous to see you.

Went in last night and got some incline on.  Going to hit a game in a couple weeks, went 75% and then did 2 rounds of the tri set and had a pump.  I can tell I have lost some and hate that, but felt good.  So I will take that.

It was a pleasure to meet you Myles. I was telling Craig that your demeanor was not what I had expected. When I saw you I was expecting a very deep, angry voice to say hello and in contrast you were extremely joyful and down to earth. I'm glad I got a chance to meet you and hope we can see each other again soon. Take care buddy.

For the record, I still feel like an asshat for screwing up that introduction. haha..
