This Friday I am throwing weight and shot at my home meet with my kiddos. Last week I snatched over 300lbs 4x, threw a bunch of Discus and had our first Princeton throws meet at Staten island. Great for the kids, 5 prs at first meet! Not so great for me, standing g for 7 hours... Ugh! Long warm up today, lifts to follow!

Kinda sorta hit a 345lb one pump one catch snatch...
Since I've qualified for USAs in the weight throw and olympicsvtrials in the Discus its onto training for North south games.
So I did some sheaf hits and open stone yesterday, pretty happy with where I am at. Ill be doing two hgames event practice every other day until Jan 14th.

Team north

Team north won! I went 56' with 16.6lb stone, 43' with hwfd both facility records, 84 in lwfd and flipped a 10,11,12 in caber, and about 100' in heavy hammer. Wob and sheaf just average...
I'm off to Iceland now for a Discus and shot put meet. Haven't been lifting too much will get back into some volume next Tuesday!

HOW TO ACT...

I'm on my way back to Princeton from the famous "Arnold expo" in Columbus.
Thoughts:
- I like performing rather than watching
- its hard for me to push products on people
- hid in the weight room
- hafpthors wob world record devastated me
- bill Crawford is the man
- I need to train more
- I do things that help others and keeps me happy but ultimately makes people upset with me
- once you've entered the competition you can win
- lifestyle brands are not good for the economy
- if they have your back help them out
- I think EFM will do great
- quite a similarity with competition attitude and "feels" between throwing and weightlifting
- I love goon lifting, as my gf puts it, #liftsforig

Threw well at capital Univ with Olympian Justin Rodhe, snatched 150kg pushpresses 170kg and deadlifted a no warm up PR 300kg.
I'm starting to enjoy the process and the people in the sport.
I hope to learn what matters and to put more focus on that.

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about highland games. After july 8th I'll be starting my season. Only Discus until then.
