Well....2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I often wonder if he is just writing in a foreign language that I don't understand.

For the future, just use a browser like Firefox with the spell checker buit in.  pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase.

Baab, I think you and I are on the same page here. Shoveling snow for two hours (you can google "snow") is a great way to work/fry your lower back and hamstrings.

I managed to get an hour of throwing in before the first flakes started falling ("flayks" = unit of snow). Did about ten braemars with the 28# (31') and ten single spins (66') plus some hammer winds. Felt good. I am definitely a "thrower who lifts" (sometimes).

Might even try this "running" stuff you speak of.

CooolOne - google sprinting my brotha.....running is for those skinny bastards from Kenya.

Coool(er?) OneDave - find a grassy slope....uh....ok , find a stairwell or fire escape and do 10-20 short mad dashes in all the agility ways you remember from high school football. I believe Kearney is/was a sprinter. Doesn't NuuYawk Seety have a purse snatching Runaway championship?

Snow shoveling is why Yankee boys are so good at sheaf - Damned unfair I say . What am I supposed to do ? Shovel rocks? hmmmmevilideammm

Don't be a dope, Mike:  it's just about impossible to shovel rocks.  Just come on up and shovel my driveway.  Any time.

A few weeks ago, we had 10 yards of stone dust delivered, but the trucker couldn't put it where we wanted it.  So, I moved it with a shovel and a wheelbarrow.  It took 100 trips to move 14 tons, uphill of course.  The things that were really, really tired were my grip (both hands), my VMOs, and my calves.  My back was fine.

Mike the weights down ( I think I'm under 260) and my energy level up big time. It's been several months since I DL'd;they were flying up. The 10x10 winding down, but the results have been positive. That workout felt very easy after several weeks of 10x10x2 per week.

I've never had a weight training goal besides "train hard to throw farther"
but watching Jon Adams  bust through his 500 pound squat goal and then heave 545 up on the rack....and now aim for 600....

You the MAN, Jon.

...I have a goal. I want to squat 300 by the end of February.  I did this yesterday:  170x5...190x3...210 x1

I've been doing two sets of ten with 150 for  a while, now.  I probably can rack 230 or 240 right now, after a light warmup if I just do it once.

I WILL rack 300 pounds, seven weeks from now!  I WILL.

Oh quit your laughing!  I've never done a serious, more-than-six-week-long weight training program in my life.   I haven't done squats since high school and I'm OLD.

I am finding that if I go slow and really concentrate on shoving my fat ass out back and keeping my chest up and distributing my weight evenly over my feet, my back can take it. I'm OK.  Box squats...NOT....but reg'lar back squats seem to be OK.

I wonder if this will do anything for my stones and WOB.  On squat days, right after I finish I walk around the weight room for a few minutes and then do dumbell snatches, usually something like this...

5 x 75 pounds, each arm (total of ten)....3 x 80 pounds, each arm (total of 6) and TRY for  1 x 90 pounds. I got the 90 yesterday with the right arm, but ran out of gas  in  my quads and couldn't catch it with the left arm.

I figure I want to combine pushing a lot of weight with pushing a lot less weight, as fast as I can.

I've only competed in 3 games, and Berby was at 2 of them. Guy was/is a complete class act and gave me so much help I couldnt even keep track of it all. That and I love his intensity. He's on the far left, I'm on the far right.
This is us in Scotland, CT.

My goals this year in this world include a 450plus DL, 300 incline, 225 power clean.
I'd like a 15' WOB and a 60' LWFD. That and to get my stones to score me points similar to what the other events score me. Hoping if I work on them that'll bring me closer to top 10 LW, rather than top 20.

I'd also like to solidify being a top 10 in my rowing community....which I think I'm close to....but wanna make it real legit.

In a few months I'll be setting the Guinness World Record for longest dodgeball game at 30 hours. That'll be sweet, also turning PRO this year in dodgeball.

One more thing, I wanna do this.
