Training is coming along at the right pace to peak in May. I haven't missed a workout nor cardio session in a few weeks despite life trying to get in the way. The Mrs has been super supportive, which we all learned from the Rocky movies is essential to success. The diet has been tight as a drum and the weight is coming off. I had a -3 lbs week last week and I am already down 2 lbs this week (weigh in is tomorrow am). I will be soooo happy when I get to weight and can just maintain.

Taking the advice of Kevin Kramer, I visited a local lumber (not Home Depot) yard and found two really nice practice cabers. They even delivered for $15, sweet.

Heading out for Panama City tomorrow to throw on Saturday. This will be the first games I have made it to healthy in two years. Been a long road back and I am much stoked.

I have very few social interaction skills, so I just throw stuff instead.

Me too Jeff. But I have a lot of confidence that I will be as mediocre as I used to be.

Go have a good time and know that whatever you throw is better than what Mr Baty has thrown at a game this year. That puts you in the lead!

I'M IN!!! Hopefully the photo will upload. It is me standing on a scale weighing 199.6 lbs! This was taken on the 3/31. I started at 228 lbs on 12/28. I am actually down to 198.2 now! For me, I looked at this MWC and dropping to U200 as an opportunity to change my life and lifestyle. I carry all my extra weight in my belly. With a family history of heart disease, I want to be around for a LONG time. In three months, I was able, with the help of God and my wife, to cut 4+ inches off my belly and keep the muscle I started with (actually gained some). I am now honored to be able to throw with the great U200 athletes. Regardless of how I do, it is a victory to just qualify to throw on the field with you all.

Wow, big changes in body composition.  Now you are training to get used to that new body right?  Your center of mass is going to be drasticly(?) different.

I have tried for days to get the pictures for the before and after but failed. I searched for that thread about how to post pictures but failed again.

Craig, can you show me the link so I can embarass myself with my fat gut and now my slightly less fat gut photos?

Gratitude

Thanks guys! I plan to stay here at my natural weight and get stupid strong. I will never achieve it but my current physique role model is Pyrros Dimas. I need to do more squats I think, lol.

Thanks Craig, the link would be awesome, as you may can tell I tried and failed again to post a picture of Dimas.

May have had the coolest day of practice ever yesterday. I was throwing in a field and had the Blue Angels practicing their maneuvers right over me. For two hours I got a free show---AND I threw a lifetime PR in the LH and a "at this weight" PR with the LWFD. At the same time, yesterday was the last day I had to be acting boss for my squad=stress and time constraints go WAY DOWN.

Top it off, it was 80 degrees and beautiful...in New Orleans (doesn't happen that often).

Good day Tater.

Wow, in one week I will be weighing in for the MWC! It has been a long tough road getting here. I am at the point of my training where I will honestly just be glad it is over. Only 1 sure workout tomorrow and maybe 1 on Monday if something needs tweaking and that is it. I have prepared as much as I can.

I love competing in this sport. It enriches my life so much. Unlike many who are my age, I get the opportunity next week to test myself and see where I stack up. I get a chance to be the best in the world at something, a World Champion. It being something quite hard makes it only better. Not saying I will win or even come close, but I will damn sure try my best and will be better for it.

I am getting more and more pumped the closer this comes to being a reality.
